IMCO started as a spice trading company in 1962 in Singapore by its founder, Late Shri Lalitrai Belawala (Timbadia) who passed away in 2008. Under his stewardship, the company grew to a truly international trading establishment sourcing and distributing the full range of spices worldwide.
Present Leadership
In 1998, his son, Himanshu Timbadia joined IMCO and is presently the CEO and managing director of the group. Under his leadership, the transformation of the group from a pure trader to a supply chain manager took place. Several procurement and processing plants were set up in Indonesia, Ethiopia, Uganda and Gabon and the portfolio of products have expanded to include spices, bird seeds, other agricultural commodities and timber products.
